Description
AIM MXS 1.2 TFT Digital Display
The MXS 1.2 5″ TFT compact Dash Logger is fully configurable and suitable for many different Motorsports. It has been designed to acquire and display data coming from the ECU. The internal accelerometer and GYRO, GPS Module (included in the kit), analogue/digital inputs and predefined math channels. Performance and data acquired can also be incremented by adding up to eight expansion modules. The MXS 1.2 is a great choice for compact cockpit installations where space is at a premium.
Easy Connection
Connecting the MXS 1.2 dash to your ECU is simple. You can sample dozens of channels straight from the vehicles ECU. This is usually the quickest and easiest setup, needing only a cable connection to the ECU instead of multiple connections and analogue sensors. The sampled data will depend on your actual ECU but typically includes RPM, engine load, throttle position (TPS), oil, air, water temperature, oil pressure, battery voltage, speed, gear, lambda value (air/fuel ratio). The list of available ECU drivers is constantly updated and upgraded and includes approximately 1000+ different ECUs.
Two Digital Outputs
MXS 1.2 features two digital outputs. Each of them can give an output of 1 amp at 12 volts. They can be configured to be turned on/off depending on the value of the analogue or digital inputs. They permit to automatically run external systems such as switching on/off additional lights, to activate/deactivate a cooling fan or circulation pumps when a certain event happens.
MXS/MXG feature configurable RGB alarm LEDs: you choose the conditions, you choose the colors.
Select a solid alarm or flashing one – and the flashing frequency, choose to have an accompanying text message, and set the alarm priorities.
Six configurable RGB alarm LEDs for MXS
Eight configurable RGB alarm LEDs for MXG
MXS/MXG feature two digital outputs.
Each of them can give an output of 1 amp at 12 volts: they can be configured in order to be turned on/off depending on the value of the analog or digital inputs.
They permit to automatically run external systems, i.e. to switch on/off additional lights, to activate/de-activate a cooling fan or circulation pumps, etc. when a certain event happens.
Choose from a host of advanced multicoloured RGB shift light patterns that can be customized to your liking, and for each unique gear when required.
Using the built-in CAN bus, you can add expansion modules to the MXS/MXG to increment the performance and the data acquired:
GPS Module
Thanks to GPS05 Module (included in the kit) and its GPS Manager software, you can immediately get laptimes and all data needed for engine tuning as well as for improving driving technique.
Channel Expansion
It permits to add 4 0-5Volt analog channels for pressure, temperature sensors and potentiometers. Two of these channels can be configured to receive digital inputs like wheel speed.
TC Hub
It adds 4 K thermocouples.
LCU-One Lambda Controller
Wide band Lambda controller LCU-One, with Bosch LSU 4.9 probe, providing all Air/Fuel data, lambda value and exhaust gas temperature, allows to perfectly tune the carburetion.
SmartyCam HD cameras
The on-board cameras that overlays on videos the data sampled by your logger.
Firmware under development:
Memory Module
Thanks to the SD Card, Memory Module can record all your data in a file that can be downloaded on your PC for post-analysis. Memory Module, with 16Gb capability, can be connected via CAN-Bus to MXS/MXG and to all AiM loggers.
The MXS 1.2 dash logger has a 5″ TFT display which has been designed to acquire and display data coming from the ECU.
